Haiti Earthquake Relief

On January 12, an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter Scale struck the capitol city of Port-au-Prince in Haiti. Thousands are believed dead and millions in need of help. There are several ways to help those in need of emergency services. Following are a list of trusted organizations providing a quick and effective emergency response to the most pressing needs at the moment. Alternatively, you may give to SRCF's Rapid Response Fund if you choose to pool your resources with other donors to support the emergency relief and rebuilding efforts.

The following organizations range from small to large and currently have a presence on the ground to support the relief and rebuilding effort

is collecting funds to support its network of on-the-ground grantees in Haiti

Doctors Without Borders
has been working on medical projects in Haiti and is currently setting up clinics in tents to replace its damaged medical facilities

Global Fund for Children
works with local Haitian grantee partners with an emphasis on education and children and will disburse emergency grant funds to these organizations.

partners with local Haitian organizations with an emphasis on social justice and will distribute funds to these organizations for relief and rebuilding efforts

works to strengthen civil society in Haiti and will be focused on recovery and rebuilding

runs Zanmi Lasante, one of the largest nongovernmental health care providers in Haiti

has been in operating in Haiti since 1950 with schools, medical facilities and economic development programs.
