Sacramento Region Community Foundation Arts Grant
In March 2008, the James Irvine Foundation announced that it will distribute nearly $3.2 million in grants to eight California community foundations to support regional arts efforts as part of its Communities Advancing the Arts (CAA) initiative. The Sacramento Region Community Foundation (SRCF) received $450,000 to support local efforts to raise the visibility of and increase donor involvement in the arts as it joins CAA for its second phase. Digital Inclusion Initiative, Community Connect
With funding from ZeroDivide, the Sacramento Region Community Foundation and Sacramento Mutual Housing Association instituted one of the city’s first community “wi-fi” projects at Victory Townhomes and Evergreen Estates. The project brings broadband, wireless Internet services to the residents of the project site as well as ongoing classes in computer usage and other programs of interest. More...
