Scholarships

Scholarship funds provide an opportunity for donors to honor their loved ones, acknowledge and support the hard work and community involvement of local students and help the next generation of community leaders develop the skills they need to be successful. The Sacramento Region Community Foundation manages over 20 scholarship funds, which were established by local individuals, families, businesses and organizations. Foundation scholarships provide tuition assistance and recognition to local students as they strive to achieve a wide range of goals through the pursuit of higher education.

Each scholarship fund has its own unique criteria for selecting recipients, including academic achievement, financial need, educational and career goals, community involvement and ethnic background. Annual scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000 dollars and may be used for accredited academic and vocational training programs.

The 2010-2011 Scholarship season has ended.  Please check back in January 2011 for the 2011-2012 Scholarship Applications.

Your high school counselor and college financial aid office will also have information about financial aid, community scholarships and student loans. If you have not already done so, please visit the financial aid or counseling office at your campus.
